THE STORIES UNDER THE SKIN OF THE PAPER

"Inspiration is our day to day that adheres to our skin like an invisible tattoo. The magic is in the skin, and the skin is like paper. It does not forget. Everything that I put on paper is a record of the invisible world" .
As promised. I promised myself. I pause. I breath. I write.
I promised to write about each piece, each image and phrase that I put on paper and canvas. And about the ones that still wander in my mind. Those are the best ones, the ones that haven't happened yet. The ones that manifest in dreams and gestate in my heart. And here I am writing. Someone recently told me that I write as I speak, and I calculate that I speak according to how I see. I see through a color palette...
I vomit words over my works, I write without thinking on the frame, on the paper... The works are my experiences that penetrate the skin and coexist with each other. and I vomit them too, I spit them on the paper. In the most graceful way but at the same time with fury, on the spur of the moment, with pure passion. Passion is the force extracted from the fire of the entrails. It is each cell giving its best. And as I read somewhere, those who were born in flames don't die burned. Art is my fire.
Anyway, getting back to the topic... I reflect on the iconography embodied in my work, and between digital papers I try to put together the stories within my work in order to share it here. Lately it's been more in the background but I want to dedicate myself only to this starting tomorrow.
Letters, scribbles, sighs between brushstrokes, printmaking presses and clay, I hope... Endless stories like the ones I repeat in my life.
Why art, , why me, why I do what I do, that's what I come to share. I have been traveling for years and many times I lose my identity as an artist in the midst of so much meaningless but well compensated work. This is me, with my ass on the chair, resuming my identity for and because of art. Soon I will tell more...
